1 stick butter
1 cup Karo syrup (dark)
1 cup sugar
3 beaten eggs
½ teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
Pinch of salt
1 unbaked pie shell

Preheat oven to 425. Brown butter in skillet, being careful not to burn. In a mixing bowl, combine Karo syrup, sugar, salt, eggs, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and chopped pecans. Stir melted butter into mixture, and pour into pie shell. Bake for 10 minutes at 425, then reduce heat to 325 and bake for 40 minutes.
