C S & K is from a 'little dot' in northeast Georgia called Gillsville. They are a new group with a sound and presence that appeals to young and old. They have worked with many artist as diverse as Echoing Angels, the Talley Trio, Perrys and others, so they have a blend of sounds unheard of on the Christian music scene. 'Not many people try to blend pop, southern rock and good ol gospel music, so I think it sets us apart' says Katie Barrett of C S & K.
Clay Marchbanks, Shannon Reeves along with Katie switch between lead and backup vocals. The group is blessed to have two family members, Casey Ryals and Jess Clark writing many of the songs for the group, Casey being named winner of the Emergent Gospel Songfest in 2006. C S & K was also included in the top ten new artists category of 2006.
Although they are thankful for the accomplishments God has allowed them to be a part of, they remain three young people on a mission. 'It's not about selling product or receiving rewards, we have been called into HIS ministry to open our mouths and SPEAK to those who know Jesus as well as those who need to know HIM and we are going to try to do just that until we finish this race.'
