cups plain flour, sifted (very important to sift the flour!)
teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening…cut into mixture…about pea-size
1/2 cup buttermilk (more or less depending on how sticky you want the dough)
oven to 375 degrees. Combine ingredients and mix till dough forms.
Roll dough onto floured, flat surface, and roll dough to one-inch
thickness. Cut out biscuits and place on baking sheet. Bake for 30
minutes at 375 degrees.
