Fried Okra Patties


1 lb. okra, (chopped)

1/2 cup onion (chopped)

1 t.salt

1/4 t. black pepper

1/2 cup water

1 egg 

1/2 cup flour

1 t. baking powder

1/2 cornmeal. 

 

Mix okra, onions, salt, pepper, water and egg. Than add cornmeal, flour, and baking powder. Mix well again. Drop tablespoon full into hot oil and brown on both sides on medium heat. Enjoy!
