Deluxe Peanut Butter Cookies

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

2 sticks butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

1 18-ounce jar peanut butter, creamy or chunky


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a large bowl, combine butter, both sugars, vanilla extract, and eggs. Blend until smooth, then add peanut butter, and continue beating until smooth.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.  Add this to the peanut butter mixture and blend well. Place by tablespoon full onto greased cookie sheet, placing about 2 inches apart.  Bake for about 10 minutes, or till cookies just start to brown around the edges.
