2 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup white Karo Syrup
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1cup pecans, chopped
Boil sugar, syrup and water until it will form a soft ball when dropped in cold water. Beat 1/2 cup of syrup mixture into beaten egg whites. Cook remaining syrup until it will spin a thread. Beat into egg whites. Add vanilla and pecans. When it begins to stiffen, drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
It has to be a clear sunshiny day to make. If it's rainy, it won't spin a thread.
