Tennessee Tea Cakes


INGREDIENTS:

1 ½ cup plain flour

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

1 cup sugar

¼ cup butter

1 egg

3 tablespoons milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cream butter and sugar and egg together.

2. Add salt and vanilla extract.  Sift flour and baking powder and add slowly to mixture. 3. Add milk and mix well.  Roll out on floured surface to ½ inch thickness and cut with biscuit cutter.

4. Place on cookie sheet at bake 10 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
